A network technician is installing new software on a Windows-based server in a different geographical location. Which of the following would be BEST for the technician to use to perform this task?
A. RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) is the correct answer as it is best for a network technician to use to perform software installation on a Windows-based server in a different geographical location.
B. SSH (Secure Shell) is a secure protocol used to manage network devices and is commonly used to log into a remote machine and execute commands.
C. FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is a standard network protocol used to transfer files from one host to another over a TCP-based network.
D. DNS (Domain Name System) is a hierarchical decentralized naming system for computers, services, or other resources connected to the Internet or a private network.
Not necessarily. SSH would probably work depending on the software, but most installers on Windows use a GUI Wizard to configure the software, which would obviously require a GUI-based remote access protocol.
I think its RDP since its a Windows server, SSH would make sense for something Linux based.
