Selected Answer: C
The policy that should be referenced when a user wants to access work email on a personal cell phone is the BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) policy. Therefore, option C is the correct answer. A. Offboarding policy refers to the policies and procedures that are in place when an employee leaves the organization. B. Acceptable use policy outlines the acceptable use of company resources such as computers, internet, and email. D. Remote access policy governs the secure and authorized remote access to the organization's network and resources.

I kind of lean towards this being B. Acceptable Use Policy. The question isn't asking about bringing a device to work, but specifically asking about using corporate resources on a personal device. First thought in my mind is data exfiltration and I believe an AUP would wean against that while allowing corporate resources on a person device. At least that is my thought process. "An acceptable use policy (AUP) is a document stipulating constraints and practices that a user must agree to for access to a corporate network or the Internet."

The cellphone belongs to the User, not the company. AUP is for company devices.

No. The key here is that she is using her own personal device and so the answer is BYOD

That'd be the BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) policy. It outlines the rules and security measures for using personal devices to access work resources.

If the question had ended at "when a user want to access when email". - The Answer would have been ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY But since there is "on a personal cell phone" - Then BYOD policy is the answer

I'm going to go against the grain here and say it's acceptable use policy since that document should outline when it's acceptable and not acceptable to access a company email. In a lot of industries you will need to use a company issued mobile device, not your own.

Acceptable use typically defines restrictions for use of company assets. BYOD covers what is acceptable when accessing company resources with personal devices.

Selected Answer: C
C. BYOD policy When a user wants to access work email on a personal cell phone, the relevant policy that should be referenced is the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policy. A BYOD policy is a set of rules and guidelines that govern the use of personal devices such as cell phones, laptops, and tablets to access company resources. The BYOD policy typically outlines the requirements that the user needs to fulfill to access work email on a personal cell phone, including device security standards, access controls, data protection, and usage guidelines. By referencing the BYOD policy, the user can ensure that they understand the requirements and expectations for using their personal cell phone to access work email, while also protecting sensitive company information.

When a user wants to access work email on a personal cell phone, the policy that should be referenced is the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policy. A BYOD policy outlines the guidelines and expectations for using personal devices for work purposes, such as accessing work email, data, or applications. It covers topics such as security requirements, data protection, and device management. An offboarding policy outlines the steps to be taken when an employee leaves the company, including the transfer of data and the return of company-owned assets. An acceptable use policy outlines the acceptable behavior and usage of company resources, such as the internet and email, by employees. A remote access policy outlines the guidelines and requirements for accessing company resources from remote locations, such as from a home office or while traveling.

Aup has to do with company equipment. Acceptable use of COMPANY equipment... Ex. Can i mine bitcoin on the company laptop, no, that is not acceptable. This is in reference to user equipment thus BYOD, bring your own device. Some CompTIA questions are straightforward, others are confusing, I think this one is straightforward. Hope that helps
