IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol):
- Port 143: This is the default port used for unencrypted IMAP connections.
- Port 993: This is the default port used for encrypted IMAP connections using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) or TLS (Transport Layer Security).
Port 25: Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP)
Port 110: Post Office Protocol version 3 (POP3)
Port 143: Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP)
Port 587: Submission
Port 993: IMAP over SSL/TLS
Port 995: POP3 over SSL/TLS

By default IMAP works on two ports like POP3:
143 – this is the default port which does not provide any encryption.
Port 993 is the secure port for IMAP and it works over TLS/SSL encryption.
