It's a weird and confusing question since A and D are both possible answers. I initially thought D was the correct answer as well. But after reading the question again and again I realized that the main point right here is that in a SOHO network, a router would be much more of a necessity than a proxy server. That's what makes me lean more towards A.

A, cause is a SOHO (Small Office, Home Office) network. Remember all come integrated in the router.

I appreciate those of you pointing me towards the SOHO point of the question. Yes router is going to be the correct choice because SOHO routers usually have DNS settings configurable.

From my understanding answers BCD are good for transmissions coming into the SOHO network. Here they want to direct SOHO traffic to a specific DNS server. This meaning transmissions are leaving the network. A router will work here.

I believe the answer is proxy server because it acts as a gateway between the users and the internet. Keyword is the new DNS server that is also a webpage.

No where in the question does it state anything about a webpage. Router is the answer because a SOHO router does what a DHCP server does, tell each client which DNS server to use.

I believe A - Router is the correct answer. Always watch for your clue. In this question, the clue is SOHO network. D is a trap, the detractor.

I think A is right because I'm thinking of DCHP

I may be wrong but I believe that the answer is Router. Since you are directing 'all clients' to the same DNS. Within a router you can set the DNS server settings which would be the solution to this question I guess? :)

Agreed. I've done it several times myself. It's as simple as updating the DNS server settings in the router.

I say ‘Proxy Server’. That’s what their used for ! Each client is configured with the PS address and voila !

whoa a year ago comment huh, crazy, but it's a router because snat or port forwarding would direct the traffic to the DNS Server.
