C. Services
Services in a computing environment are programs or processes that run in the background and provide specific functionality or features to the operating system or other applications. They can be configured to start automatically when the computer boots up, allowing applications or system processes to run without requiring user intervention.
Therefore, services are the component that would allow an application to run automatically when a computer is started.
A process is a program which is started by the system (OS) or a third-party application. It is terminated once its purpose is done.
A service is a program which runs in the background (when OS starts up (usually)), and does not terminate unless it encounters a problem.
they are labeled as automatic startup processes. Think about it as like you said, started up by the OS, even though we enable the OS to process something on startup it doesn't mean its a service
The question is asking what will allow an app to run automatically at system startup. These are services, the process is an instance you directly interact with
When applications run they run in memory which is a process. You can have applications run when your computer boots. Think of how your anti-virus or Teams loads automatically when Windows boots up.
Creating a service with an automatic startup, or delayed startup, would allow for an application to start with the system. I don't get what "Processes" is supposed to mean in this context.
