Selected Answer: A
The best option to improve a workstation's overall response time for frequently used applications and data without removing the current hard drive would be to install an M.2 (Option A) storage device. M.2 is a type of solid-state drive (SSD) that uses a high-speed interface to connect directly to the motherboard, offering faster data transfer rates than traditional hard disk drives (HDD). This can result in significantly faster application loading times and improved overall system performance compared to an HDD.

SAS (Option B) and SCSI (Option D) are both types of high-speed data storage interfaces, but they are typically used in enterprise-level storage systems rather than workstations. These interfaces can provide high-speed data transfer rates, but they are typically more expensive and less commonly used in workstations than M.2 SSDs. A traditional hard disk drive (Option C) is a type of mechanical storage device that uses spinning disks to store data. While HDDs are still commonly used for large-scale data storage, they are significantly slower than SSDs, especially when it comes to accessing frequently used applications and data. By installing an M.2 SSD, the technician can improve the workstation's response time for frequently used applications and data without removing the current hard drive, which can be used for additional storage capacity.

Selected Answer: C
I believe it is C (HDD), the key of the question is: "without removing the current hard drive". You can add a second HDD and configure a RAID 0 in the operating system using disk management (Windows). A RAID 0 by the operating system will allow you to keep the same hard drive and increase performance.
