a GPU can be: dedicated, shared and passthrough and obviously vGPU. This question has no sense.

vGPUs make use of the CPU but the CPU usage is limited in order to make use of the new GPUs there should be a GPU passthrough put in place this will allow the VMs to use the GPUs directly
