Selected Answer: C
Federation is a mechanism that enables users from one organization (the identity provider) to securely access resources and services provided by another organization (the service provider) without requiring the users to have separate credentials for each service. It allows the service provider to trust the identity provider's authentication and authorization processes, eliminating the need for separate credentials and streamlining the user experience.

Also worth noting this same thing is called OAuth. You could even loop in SSO (single sign on) though this would be used to access a library of resources through one single login.

C because federation uses SSO and other sites AAA uses internal servers/sites, so this is not an option https://www.professormesser.com/security-plus/sy0-501/aaa-and-authentication/

Imma go with C, Federation because of this definition I found in this book: Federation or federated identity is a means of linking a subject's accounts from several sites, services, or entities in a single account. It's a means to accomplish single sign-on, thus making service/site access easier for visitors and reducing the number of unique logon credential sets that a user has to create, store, manage, and secure.
