MDM would require something to be installed. VDI, virtual desktop infrastructure, would allow employees to use run apps on the company network without installing locally.

A VDI can exist on mobile or desktop environments, on a mobile device it's technically referred to as an "VMI" BUT VDI does fit what the question is asking.

VDI is a technology that allows remote workers to access applications hosted inside the corporate network without installing any data or applications locally on their personal computers or organization-provided assets. With VDI, users connect to virtual desktops or remote sessions hosted on servers within the corporate network. The user's local device, whether personal or organization-provided, serves as a thin client to access and interact with the virtual desktop or session. VDI provides a secure and controlled environment since all data and applications remain within the corporate network, and the remote user only interacts with a virtual representation of the desktop. This solution allows organizations to grant access to corporate resources while maintaining control and security over the data and applications.

VDI with remote desktop would solve this. Users can remote into the RDS with their personal computers or work assets. In any case, VDI would have its own policy where the users cannot download or install anything without admin privileges.

VDI solutions support a variety of endpoints including Windows, Linux and MacOS computers, mobile devices, or thin clients. The term “VDI” typically refers to an on-premise deployment model, in which organizations run VDI infrastructure in their local data center and use it to deliver virtualized desktops to users.

Users will be allowed to use their personal computers..which means it is not mobile, so VDI is the answer.

Selected Answer: A
A. VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) would accomplish these goals. VDI provides remote workers with access to a virtual desktop that is hosted on the organization's servers. The virtual desktop is accessed over the internet, and the user interacts with it as if it were installed locally on their computer. No data or applications are installed on the user's system, as they are all hosted on the organization's servers. The user's computer simply provides a display and input interface. This solution meets the requirement that no data or applications be installed locally on the user's system.

Please read the last sentence "Which of the following mobile solutions would accomplish these goals? So, Mobile Device Management or MDM. This management can be very important if users are bringing their own devices into the workplace and then we're putting sensitive company information on the user's own device.

- remote workers the ability to use applications hosted inside the corporate network - allowed to use their personal computers, or they will be provided organization assets - no data or applications will be installed locally on any user systems - Which mobile solutions would accomplish these goals? None, at least on their own. Of the options available, it seems like it has to be VDI.
