Selected Answer: B
Answer is B. I get this all the time in my field of work with phones. For the most part when one does not get corporate email alerts on their CRU phones or company appointed phones, there is something wrong with a password for said applications they are trying to utilize. Can also happen if they updated the password on the corporate server via VPN but it does not translate on to the CRU or corporate device and tends to need to be updated or reinput with the new password on that end. Answer is B. most corporate policies tend to like their information hidden from public eye so installing and synchronizing with a third party application wouldn't be the smartest thing to do.

Question describes an issue with calendar UPDATES on a mobile device. Then asks you to pick the best option for enabling ALERTS. And then the correct answer is apparently back to being about updates and not the only answer choice pertaining to ALERTS. Thanks CompTIA.

Selected Answer: B
B. Ensuring the corporate password is saved correctly in the calendar application This action is a good suggestion as the failure to receive calendar updates could be due to incorrect login credentials.

C. Installing a third-party calendar application and synchronizing it with the corporate calendar This action may help to receive the calendar updates, but it is not recommended as it could compromise the security of the corporate calendar information.

D. Remotely wiping the mobile device and reinstalling all applications This action may resolve the issue, but it is a drastic measure and could result in data loss. Before taking this action, the technician should try to resolve the issue by checking the login credentials, ensuring the device has a stable internet connection, and checking for any updates for the calendar application.

A. Checking that the ringer volume on the device is high enough to be audible This action is not directly related to the issue of the latest calendar updates not appearing on the user's corporate mobile device. The volume of the device does not affect the calendar updates.

The work calendar means that you must be connected to the work mail server, so in most cases it will not be correct to specify your user password with any other application
