Selected Answer: A
PAN is correct because PAN is another name for bluetooth devices. Like an Xbox controller to a gaming laptop that runs Windows.

A user has created a Personal Area Network (PAN) when they connect a smartphone to a laptop. Depends. Not enough context is given for this question. Bluetooth would be a PAN, however a wireless hotspot would be WLAN.

I think it is fine. If it were talking about a hotspot, they would instead say 'connecting a laptop to a smartphone.' And then stating it this way would require more context.

Personal Area Network (PAN) For example, a mobile phone connected to the laptop through USB forms a wired PAN while two smartphones communicating with each other through Bluetooth technology form a wireless PAN or WPAN.
