An 8GB Random Access Memory System has 1,073,741,824 address spaces that it can use to store data, therefore the address bus to retrieve that information must be equal to or greater than 1,073,741,824 WIDE. Thus the only operating system with a bus wide enough to accommodate this size bus is a 32-bit BINARY address system.
