B. Examine the DNS to see if the new server record exists. Obvious answer for me, can't make any sense of other options.

Stupid question. Not enough information to make a choice. DHCP may or may not be giving correct DNS information in scope. DNS entry may or may not be configured. This is open to interpretation. I am choosing B because I am assuming DHCP scope is correct.
