To hide files, go to File Explorer, open the File's Properties, and select the "Hidden" box within "Attributes". File Explorer > File > Properties > General Tab > Attributes > Hidden > Apply

Indexing options speeds up the search process for File Explorer, but it does not hide any folders. To hide folders, you have to go to File Explorer options, so it is C.
