Selected Answer: A
iSCSI (Internet Small Computer System Interface) is a cost-effective way to connect to a SAN over a long distance. It uses standard Ethernet networks and TCP/IP protocol to transmit SCSI commands, allowing it to run over existing IP networks. This makes it less expensive to implement than Fibre Channel (FC) or Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) which require specialized cabling and equipment. Additionally, iSCSI can be used to connect to both local and remote storage devices, making it a suitable option for the branch office scenario you described.

chat gpt says about Iscsi: Widely used in small to medium-sized businesses, remote office environments, and virtualization platforms (like VMware) where affordable and flexible storage solutions are needed.

Correct me if im wrong but this is what I’ve read. FCoE is substantially more expensive than iSCSI due to these requirements and restrictions to implement. It also often requires specific licenses to enable its functionality. https://www.mirazon.com/iscsi-vs-fcoe/

This is the correct answer, as the question is only asking about cost Mike Meyers "Internet Small Computer Systems Interface (iSCSI) is built on top of TCP/IP, enabling devices that use the SCSI protocol to communicate across existing networks using cheap, readily available hardware." Jason Dion "iSCSI (IP Small Computer System Interface) - Lower cost, built using Ethernet switches (<10 Gbps) - Relies on configuration allowing jumbo frames over the network"

Ok, how about iSCSI then? Not a protocol? I also think that A, rather than B, is correct. But if you take the time to comment, take the time to do it properly...
