I believe the answer is bezel. I went with digitizer and failed that objective. This answer needs to be updated or the question needs to be less ambiguous, ie. ...a laptop with a touchscreen...

it is 100% not bezel. everyone here is overthinking the question. No where in the CompTIA A+ 220-1001 objectives is the term "bezel" mentioned, however, digitizer is.

The hinge is the component most at risk of being damaged during an LCD panel replacement.

Answer is bezel. Bezel and the panel are the same thing. Digitizer is only for touchscreens which aren't mentioned

I still believe it is bezel, reading through the CompTIA textbook itself, when in regards to a digitizer it is reffering to WHEN a laptop HAS a touchscreen. In this question, it only states laptop, we can not assume it automatically has a touchscreen since touchscreens aren't a standard in laptops. However during the activity portion, when repairing or replacing hardware on a laptop, to take care not to damage or break the bezel while you remove it, prior to repairing the LCD screen. It cannot be bezel because it is not an objective in CompTIA A+. Here: https://www.comptia.jp/pdf/comptia-a-220-1001-exam-objectives.pdf

A bezel is the correct answer, as comptia lists this as a difficult piece to assemble when replacing a screen. A digitizer is not in every LCD screen unless it is touch compatible.

The one answer common to both a touch screen and normal LCD screen is a bezel...question dis not state what type of screen it is, so my answer is A

The Official CompTIA® A+® Core 1 Student Guide (Exam 220-1001) pg. 426 - 427 - "This should explain how to disassemble the chassis and remove tricky items, such as plastic bezels, without damaging them. You should only perform this work if a warranty option is not available."

Not enough information. Honestly, I will still go with digitizer considering CompTIA obj-1.2. I guess you could say the bezel, but it really there for structural integrity so it would be hard to damage it badly.

Laptop bezels are a common item to replace though. Search Amazon for laptop bezel and you will find tons of them.

Any time you move around a PC, and you know, like plug in expansion cards, you are warping, twisting, bumping, or whatever the mother board and stuff. this makes memory walk out of the slots, just enough to get fuzzy. I see it CONSTANLY. if the "memory" answer on this question was worded like "Memory needs reseating" or "memory is loose" or "memory needs to be unplugged, blown on like a nintendo cartridge and plugged back in" then it would be TOO obvious.
