During the execution phase of a project, a project task has run longer than anticipated. Which of the following is the new critical path of the project if Task 2 requires an additional two days to complete?
Honestly, all these explanations confused me. If you simply count all the days that aren't weekends on the graph its 12 days. The graph shows an extra 2 days for task two as task five.
A is the correct answer. Calculate the durations separately following the dependencies, The critical task is the longest tasks duration not the longest duration of the project as a whole
It doesn't matter if you add 2 days to task 2. You are still waiting on task 4 to complete before starting task 5, and task 4 is already scheduled to end 4 days after task 2.
Additional two days is added to the total duration making it 17 + 2 = 19
