The letters after 802.11 are pretty important and relevant to networking. Make sure to memorize the different perks/uses of 802.11 systems such as ac, g, n, and more. CompTIA covers a range of technology and on the job you'll encounter old and new stuff frequently. Knowledge goes a long way in tackling issues.
802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n, or any wireless access points that run 2.4 GHz frequencies can only use channels between 1 and 11. For this question the answer is obvious but if they told you to pick a channel between 1 - 11, you should always pick 1, 11, or 6 first because they prevent interference and ensure non-overlapping of the channel.
