The answer cannot be C. By definition, COPE (corporate-owned personally enabled) is a business model in which an organization provides its employees with mobile computing devicesand allows the employees to use them as if they were personally owned notebook computers, tablets or smartphones. The question explicitly states that users must use their personal equipment, not company-provided. The only logical answer in that scenario is VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure - a technology that refers to the use of virtual machines to provide and manage virtual desktops.)

I concur. COPE is definitely wrong. VDI does not require additional hardware to be provided.

Selected Answer: D
Virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) allows you to deliver desktops and applications to users from a centralized server, either on-premise or in the cloud. The organization can choose the guest OS for the virtual desktop. The virtual desktop will be installed on top of your host OS if VDI is on-premise and accessed through the cloud if it's on a cloud server.

Keyword "Employees must USE THIER PERSONAL computers to access the cloud" which rules out COPE (Company-Owned Personally-Enabled). So the only answer that makes sense is VDI.

While VDI can be used to provide remote access to company resources and manage the operating system centrally, it typically involves virtualized desktop environments rather than users accessing resources from their personal computers.

I ran the virtual environment in my last job and we had it set up so that the environment was accessed via a url utilizing employees personal computers.

Could really be A or D. You are using your own device. Thus CYOD.. and then you are logging into a Corporate VDI. Again Comptia, stupid arse Q

The key word is deployment model. Answer is D VDI

Selected Answer: D
VDI is a technology that enables users to access virtual desktops hosted on centralized servers from their own devices. In this model, the company provisions and manages virtual desktops in the cloud, and employees use their personal computers as thin clients to connect to these virtual desktops. The company maintains control over the operating system and can enforce security measures and policies on the virtual desktops.

In a previous question, the solution was also VDI. Bing chat says the following: The deployment model that the company is implementing is VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure). VDI provides remote workers with access to a virtual desktop that is hosted on the organization’s servers. The virtual desktop is accessed over the internet, and the user interacts with it as if it were installed locally on their computer. No data or applications are installed on the user’s system, as they are all hosted on the organization’s servers. The user’s computer simply provides a display and input interface.

Employees must use their personal computers to access the cloud computing. This means the company will institute a CYOD or Choose your own device to access company cloud. There is no mention of virtualization. So VDI wouldn't apply. COPE is corporate owned devices. Answer is A.

I like your thought process but - Can you imagine an employer telling you that they will manage the OS of your personal device? There doesn't need to be a specific mention of virtualization to see that is the only way they could reasonably manage the OS of a device they do not own.

Selected Answer: A
The company is implementing a CYOD (Choose Your Own Device) deployment model. CYOD allows employees to use their personal computers to access the company's cloud computing environment, and the company manages the operating system, but the employees have the ability to choose the device they use to access the environment. This deployment model balances the benefits of a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) approach, where employees can use their preferred device, with the security and management needs of the company, as the company still retains some control over the device through operating system management.

CYOD=Choose Your Own Device (from a preselected list of devices). if they are going to use their own devices it cant be CYOD ... going with VDI

CYOD means the user can choose from a menu of devices provided by the company (tablet vs. laptop vs. PC, etc.). The question explicitly states that they must use their PERSONAL devices, not supplied by the company. This leaves only one answer - VDI.
