I do not like the question, since it leads with migrating SERVERS into the cloud. I cannot find anything about servers being a SaaS item. The last sentence sounds like they want SaaS, but the least work the company for a Server looks to be PaaS. PaaS provides a cloud-based platform for developing, running, managing applications.  The cloud services provider hosts, manages and maintains all the hardware and software included in the platform - servers (for development, testing and deployment), operating system (OS) software, storage, networking, databases, middleware, runtimes, frameworks, development tools - as well as related services for security, operating system and software upgrades, backups and more. https://www.ibm.com/topics/iaas-paas-saas

the question implies that the application is moving to the cloud, they want to have the least management over it. SaaS is the correct answer

Selected Answer: A
SaaS is a cloud computing model where the software application is hosted and provided by a third-party vendor over the internet. In this case, the company would migrate its customer relationship management system to a SaaS provider, who would handle the infrastructure, maintenance, and application support. With SaaS, the company does not need to manage the underlying infrastructure, such as servers, storage, or networking, nor does it need to worry about application support, updates, or patching. The responsibility for managing and maintaining the infrastructure and application resides with the SaaS provider. The company can focus on using the CRM system and leveraging its capabilities without the burden of infrastructure management.

Break down the question into relevant bits: - Migrate some SERVERS - The company has a CRM on-prem. - LEAST infra and app support from the company SaaS is absolutely irrelevant here. They're migrating SERVERS, not SERVICES. SERVERS. PaaS is the answer here, without a question. IaaS is too much work. Nowhere does the question say that the CRM is moving. If anything, it implies it's staying. But again, nothing said explicitly. It's useles flavor text. Anyone choosing SaaS just off the last sentence might as well select option E. "Sell the Company to HP and let them handle everything"

same question as 93. Im going with majority since this questions is just silly and does not provide enough context to sway me the other way.

Gents you're getting caught in the concept that this companies IT must do the migration. Nah, as Applebees points out - there's SaaS providers that handle the CRM apps, and do the whole migration as well. Fully hands off.

PaaS still requires the client to manage the application, so SaaS is better answer.

If the company is specifically looking to migrate servers to the cloud and minimize infrastructure and application support, then the most suitable option would be IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service).

I don't understand why everyone choose SaaS? The company needs to migrate servers and the only solution you can use for that is IaaS. You cannot migrate services to SaaS or PaaS.

This one is PAAS. Key word is "least". VM will hold the servers in a PAAS environment. SAAS is software only. You cannot migrate servers from onprem to SAAS.

I don't understand why so many people chose C. Yes, the company does already have an existing CRM application but the question specifically states that they want the least APPLICATION support from the company. With a platform as a-service solution, they still have to support the application. With a SaaS solution such as Salesforce minimal application support is needed.

I’m going with SaaS simply because SaaS is completely managed by the service provider and not the company. The question asks which one will LEAST require infrastructure and application support from the company.

Remember this Applications such as web-based email provided over the Internet are Software as a Service (SaaS) cloud-based technologies. Platform as a Service (PaaS) provides customers with a fully managed platform, including hardware, operating systems, and limited applications. The vendor keeps systems up to date with current patches." -Security+ Get Certified Get Ahead SY0-601 by Darril Gibson "Platform as a Service (PaaS) This provides the environment for developers to create applications; an example of this is Microsoft Azure. The platform provides a set of services to support the development and operation of applications, rolling them out to iOS, Android devices, as well as Windows devices. You could migrate your bespoke software applications under PaaS. Bespoke means customized." -Security+ SY0-601 Certification Guide Second Edition by Ian Neil
