is data collector one of the objectives in comptia security 601 ChatGPT Yes, the concept of data collection is included in the CompTIA Security+ (SY0-601) exam objectives under the category of "Risk Management". Specifically, the objectives include understanding various types of data and their value, as well as knowing how to secure, store, and dispose of data.

Are you too dumb to search the objectives yourself that you have to use gpt? These are the objectives: • Roles and responsibilities - Data owners - Data controller - Data processor - Data custodian/steward - Data protection officer (DPO) You can ask chatgpt to tell you if Data Collector is included in the objectives. Who knows? XD

B - Dion Training Sec+701 has Data Processor defined as "A group or individual hired by the data controller to assist with tasks like data collection and processing", Dion Training for 601 does not have this role. Neither training guides have data collector.

Selected Answer: A
Data Owner – the entity that collects/creates the PII and is legally responsible and accountable for protecting it and educating others about how to protect the data through dissemination of intellectual property rights documentation, policies and regulatory requirements, specific protective measures that are expected of custodians, and compliance requirements. Data Controller – same as data owner when a true data owner does not exist. Data Processor – typically an entity that works under the direction of the owner/controller, such as an IT department. Data Custodian – the role within the processing entity (IT department) that handles the data daily. Data Steward – a newer concept related to users of the data; those who use the data for the business purpose.

A data processor is an entity that processes data on behalf of the data controller (the entity that determines the purposes and means of processing personal data). In this scenario, the company collecting user information through its website is indeed processing that data, even though it's not using the information itself but passing it to a marketing business. Therefore, both options D (Data collector) and B (Data processor) are relevant in this scenario. The company is collecting user information (data collector) and processing it on behalf of the marketing business (data processor). However, in the context of the scenario provided, the term "data collector" seems to specifically address the action of collecting data, which is the primary role of the company in this situation. Therefore, option D might be considered a slightly more specific choice in this scenario. But it's also accurate to consider the company as a data processor.

B data processor - A data processor is an entity that processes personal data on behalf of the data controller, typically following the instructions provided by the data controller. In this case, the company is collecting user information through its website and processing it for the marketing business, indicating a data processing role rather than being the owner or the direct user of the data.

So here is the Questions Key Give Away. A company is capturing user information that a marketing business can use. The company itself will not be using the information. So a Data Processor (A company) Acts on Behalf of the Controller (Marketing Business) A company ( Data Processor) can be told by the Marketing Business what to do with the Data. The Data Processor can not decide what to Collect. They also can not decide what the data is used for. So not being able to Use the Data themselves. The Controller requests and the Processor Executes the request to the controller's satisfaction.

In the context of CompTIA Security+ (SY0-601) objectives: Given the scenario where a company is launching a website in a different country to collect user information for a marketing business's use, but the company itself won't be using the information, the role the company assumes aligns more closely with: B. Data processor A data processor is an entity that processes personal data on behalf of the data controller, typically following the instructions provided by the data controller. In this case, the company is collecting user information through its website and processing it for the marketing business, indicating a data processing role rather than being the owner or the direct user of the data.

I go with D : Data collector seems to be the most appropriate that ties with the scenario described in the question. The key phrase in the question is " in order to capture". Capturing information has a lot to do with collecting information. The next suitable response is 'Data Owner' , however the phrase capturing makes D MOST COMPATIBLE

Selected Answer: B
The company is assuming the role of a Data Processor. In the context of data protection legislation, a data processor is a third party that processes personal data on behalf of the data controller (in this case, the marketing business). The data processor does not use the data for its own purposes. So, in this scenario, the company launching the website to capture user information for the marketing business would be considered a data processor.

Selected Answer: B
Data Owner is responsible for determining the classification level of the data. Data Custodian/Steward is responsible for implementing the data classification and security controls based on the classification determined by the data owner. Data Controller (GDPR) is a person or entity that determines the purposes and means of personal data processing. Data Processor (GDPR) is an individual who processes personal data on behalf of the data controller. In the scenario where the company is launching a website to collect user information for a marketing business but does not intend to use the information itself, the company is not directly involved in determining the purposes and means of personal data processing (which is the role of the Data Controller), and it is not simply implementing data classification and security controls (the role of the Data Custodian). Instead, it is primarily involved in collecting and providing user data to a marketing business. In this context, the company's role aligns more closely with that of a Data Processor as defined by the GDPR.
