Ping of Death is an attack that sends ICMP (Ping) packets that are larger than the allowed size (over 65,535 bytes). When this packet is fragmented at the IP level and reassembled at the destination, it can cause buffer overflows and system crashes. This attack is related to the fragmentation field of the IP header, not the TCP header.
