As per the CHFI Textbook:
"...the evidentiary requirements in criminal cases are far stricter than in civil litigation. It needs to be noted that the level of professionalism and standards attached to handling evidence should be maintained equally in both civil and criminal cases."
The question is asking what the difference is, and even though you'd handle the evidence in the same way, the difference is for criminal cases, the rules for evidence is much stricter.
It should be A. It does not matter what type of case you have, evidence should always be handled in the correct manner so that it can be applicable in court at any time.
