Therefore, spoke-to-spoke traffic may temporarily go through the hub until the direct tunnel is created. D is incorrect because the configuration of routing in ADVPN involves more than just enabling 'add-advpn-route'.

The traffic goes through the hub while initiating the connection. Yes, it will be spoke-to-spoke afterwards.
