Selected Answer: D
First of all, we have no idea what the DR/BDR priority is (DR/BDR priority > local router?) If the DR fails, the BDR takes over the DR role. There is no DR election, only the BDR.(Ospf process) The local router will be the new BDR If the "new" DR fails, the local router will be the new DR Choice A is therefore not the only way for the local router to become DR Network Security Support Engineer 7.4 Study Guide p529

Selected Answer: B
B is the answer. The current BDR has a lower router ID than the local device. If the current DR fails, a re-election will cause the local device to be elected the DR.
