Variant of this question in my exam today : in the exhibit "send shortcut-query" instead "recv shortcut-query". In this case, we have a spoke and not a Hub. Replace auto-discover-sender by auto-discover-receiver

Selected Answer: D
D is correct — study guide 7.2 pg 333 The HUB receives the shortcut query and forwards it to the other spoke. The HUB then receives the shortcut reply from the other spoke and forwards the shortcut reply to the original spoke. Thus this is a HUB. A HUB is configured with set auto-discovery-sender enabled for ADVPN. auto-discovery-receiver is set on the Spokes, and not on the HUB. From the Spoke side, you would see either send shortcut query or send shortcut reply (which is not the case in this question).

Guy be careful with this one, I just took the exam and answered with auto-discovery-sender since I think it was from hub to spoke, in my reports it shows me that I did not get the all answers correct for the VPN part, and all the other answers I am sure that I was right the only one that I was not sure about it is this answer, The first thing I did after the exam was to come here to tell you and advise you to check all the answers and rely on the study guide, and check the exhibit carefully

D is correct i think. Most crucial info to look for in these outputs is which dynamic IPsec's are used for sending/forwarding messages. Here we see that it did a route lookup on the H2S_0 tunnel, and that it had communicated with both sides on H2S_0_0 and H2S_0_1 so this would be a HUB definitely, so the IPsec setting on it must be auto-discovery-sender.

This is the HUB output, and we can see it receiving SHORTCUT-QUERY from a Spoke and forwarding to a different spoke. Hubs do this when they have " auto-discovery sender" configured on HubtoSpoke IPSec Interface
