A. Degaussing.
Degaussing is a method used to erase data on a hard drive by exposing it to a strong magnetic field, which disrupts the magnetic domains – where the data is stored – rendering the data unrecoverable. This method is considered more secure than simply formatting the drive, which may leave some data recoverable with specialized tools.
