Selected Answer: A
Assessing the current state would involve understanding the existing systems, processes, and reports, including the "Consolidated Sales by Customer" report. By identifying stakeholder needs, preferences, and dependencies on existing reports, the BA could have ensured that the deployment of the new report would not disrupt critical functions or processes.

Selected Answer: A
Option C, "Strengths, weaknesses, and threats," could also be relevant in assessing the situation, but it may not directly address the specific issue of the sales team's inability to generate the previously existing report. While conducting a SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) could help identify potential risks and challenges associated with implementing new solutions or changes, it may not specifically focus on the impact on existing reports and systems. On the other hand, option A, "Current state and stakeholder needs," directly addresses the need to understand the existing situation and the requirements of stakeholders, which would encompass the need to maintain the functionality of existing reports like the "Consolidated Sales by Customer" report. Therefore, while option C could provide valuable insights, option A is more directly related to preventing the specific situation described in the scenario.

IMHO answer is B 8.3 Assess Solution Limitations 8.3.4.1 Identify Internal Solution Component Dependencies Solutions often have internal dependencies that limit the performance of the entire solution to the performance of the least effective component. Assessment of the overall performance of the solution or its components is performed in the tasks Measure Solution Performance (p. 166) and Analyze Performance Measures (p. 170). Business analysts identify solution components which have dependencies on other solution components, and then determine if there is anything about those dependencies or other components that limit solution performance and value realization.

Answer A Evaluate a solution to prevent a situation is to know the current state and how the stakeholders works with the solution (their needs). If this has been the case, the BA would have verified if all functionalities was still working before and after the update.
