the greatest concern associated with redundant data in an organization’s inventory system is unnecessary data storage usage. Redundant data can lead to increased storage requirements, which can result in higher costs for the organization. In addition, redundant data can also lead to data quality issues, such as data inconsistency and inaccuracies, which can negatively impact decision-making processes .

Selected Answer: A
A. Data inconsistency Redundant data in an inventory system can lead to data inconsistency, which is the greatest concern among the options provided. This is because if the same piece of data is stored in multiple places, any updates or changes might not be reflected everywhere, leading to discrepancies in the data. This could lead to errors in reporting, decision-making, and overall operations. Other options like unnecessary data storage usage, poor access control, and unnecessary costs of program changes, while also concerns, do not pose as immediate and significant an operational risk as data inconsistency.

if it is allowed to select two answers; I would go with "A" and "C". Data inconsistency will affect strategic planning and decision making which is a great risk. On the other hand, poor access control also may lead to data loss and leakage which introduces significant risks to the organization.

C. Poor access control is the correct answer. The problem with "redundant" data is that they may be store in multiple places where access control is difficult to manage. If you have redundant data, you better make sure that the redundant data have the same ACL as the main data.
