Selected Answer: A
A. Accurate measurement of loss impact The PRIMARY benefit of engaging the risk owner during the risk assessment process is "A. Accurate measurement of loss impact." The risk owner, who typically has a deep understanding of the risk, its potential consequences, and its impact on the organization, can provide valuable insights and information that contribute to accurately assessing the potential loss associated with a specific risk. Their input helps in quantifying the impact more precisely, aiding the organization in making informed risk management decisions.

Selected Answer: A
A. Accurate measurement of loss impact The risk owner is typically the individual or role who has the best understanding of the risk, its potential impacts, and its business context. Engaging the risk owner during the risk assessment process ensures that there is an accurate understanding and measurement of the potential loss impact associated with the risk, as they will have the most insight into the nature and potential consequences of the risk. They can provide valuable information about potential impacts, probability, and the risk context that may not be visible to others in the organization. Other options, while beneficial, are not primarily tied to the role of a risk owner.

For those who say 'D', keep in mind that the sentence ends in 'all departments'. On the other hand, prioritization of action plans occurs 'after' (risk response or risk treatment phase) and not during the assessment. Risk management is not the same as risk assessment.

A seems better , since prioritization decision also made based on impact or loss to the business.

D. Per CRISC Review Manual 6th edition pg. 100, "the risk owner is tasked with making the decision of what the best response is to identified risk". This decision can only be made by prioritization.

Pls check CRISC REVIEW MANUAL 6TH edition page 100, 2.9. That should be "Prioritization of risk action plans across departments"

This is correct - per CRISC Review pg. 77 "Calculations or assessment of IT Impact must consider the dependencies of the other systems, departments, business partners and users on the affected IT system". Thus, the impact would only be able to be calculated w/ aid from risk owner who should have knowledge of all of the considerations laid out.
