The only thing that even fits here is D. You integrate incident response with Business Continuity because keeping the business operational during the response is a critical component of the incident response primary objective of minimizing impact to the business.
A. Incidents can escalate into disasters needing proper response
Integrating incident response with business continuity recognizes that some incidents, if not properly managed, can escalate into larger-scale disasters that affect the organization's overall operations. By having an integrated approach, an organization can ensure a coordinated and effective response to incidents, helping to prevent them from becoming full-blown disasters and minimizing their impact on business continuity. This approach aims to detect, respond to, and mitigate incidents at an early stage, reducing the likelihood of them evolving into larger-scale disasters.
By integrating the incident response plan with the business continuity process, the organization acknowledges that certain incidents have the potential to escalate and become more significant, eventually requiring coordinated efforts and resources beyond the scope of regular incident response. This integration ensures a seamless transition from incident response to broader business continuity measures when needed.
The correct answer is A because of the BCP hierarchy : BIA > IRP > BCP as explained by the following url: https://conetrix.com/articles/business-continuity-disaster-recovery-and-incident-response-a-ridiculously-brief-primer.

I like D here. Think about it...how often does an incident turn into freakin' DISASTER? Hopefully VERY rarely otherwise your doing something wrong. So I can only think of it as possibly being a cost savings measure. Integration of the plan will reduce resource costs to the organization. You decide.
