Topic #: 1
[All CT-TAE Questions]

You have been using a TAA to create a TAS for your project. You have found that the TAA report mechanism is too rigid for your use, so you created a more generic and flexible report engine.

What should you do with this new report mechanism?

  • A. Use it only in your TAS.
  • B. Update all TAS's under your control to use the new report engine.
  • C. Port it back to the TAA so it is available for any TAS.
  • D. You should not have modified any aspect of the TAA when creating the TAS so you should not use it.

Selected Answer: C
I have taken the exam twice (Feb 2025 and March 2025). The first time, I chose option C. The second time I chose option A. I have not been able to find a definitive reason why answer C. If you as the TAE made it more generic, why make it available for all available TAS if each TAS is constructed differently? Wouldn't it make more sense to use it only in your TAS, and if it works out, then make it available for any TAS?
