B. Any change of state that has significance for the management of a service = event
C. Any component that needs to be managed in order to deliver an IT service = configuration item
D. A problem that has been analyzed but has not been resolved = known error
As defined by ITIL 4, CIs are “any component that needs to be managed in order to deliver an IT service.” Some easy examples of a CI are a router, a server, an application, and a virtual machine.
