You plan to back up an Azure virtual machine named VM1. You discover that the Backup Pre-Check status displays a status of Warning. What is a possible cause of the Warning status?
A.
VM1 is stopped.
B.
VM1 does not have the latest version of WaAppAgent.exe installed.
Suggested Answer:B🗳️
The Warning state indicates one or more issues in VM's configuration that might lead to backup failures and provides recommended steps to ensure successful backups. Not having the latest VM Agent installed, for example, can cause backups to fail intermittently and falls in this class of issues. true:

B is correct:

The Azure VM Agent is needed for Azure VM Backups...as mrshahid linked to below;
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/backup/backup-azure-arm-vms-prepare#optional-steps-install-agentallow-outbound
See 'Optional steps'...if the VM Agent is missing or not updated it will cause a Warning!
AZ-900 Fundamentals Q btw.
D. A Recovery Services vault is unavailable.
WaAppAgent.exe, optional step only when you have a Custom VM or on-premise migrated to Azure.
Read: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/backup/backup-azure-arm-vms-prepare#optional-steps-install-agentallow-outbound
I also saw this article:

Question is not very clear.
Seems quite clear cut to me:
In the question "What is a possible cause of the Warning status?"
https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/azure-vm-backup-pre-checks/
"Warning: This state indicates one or more issues in VM’s configuration that might lead to backup failures and provides recommended steps to ensure successful backups. Not having the latest VM Agent installed, for example, can cause backups to fail intermittently and falls in this class of issues."
..out of date Agent is cited as an example of a warning. If a Recovery Services vault is unavailable, would this not be a 'Critical' level status?
