HOTSPOT -
You are evaluating the connectivity between the virtual machines after the planned implementation of the Azure networking infrastructure.
For each of the following statements, select Yes if the statement is true. Otherwise, select No.
Hot Area:

Show Suggested Answer Hide Answer
Suggested Answer:
Once the VNets are peered, all resources on one VNet can communicate with resources on the other peered VNets. You plan to enable peering between Paris-
VNet and AllOffices-VNet. Therefore VMs on Subnet1, which is on Paris-VNet and VMs on Subnet3, which is on AllOffices-VNet will be able to connect to each other.
All Azure resources connected to a VNet have outbound connectivity to the Internet by default. Therefore VMs on ClientSubnet, which is on ClientResources-VNet will have access to the Internet; and VMs on Subnet3 and Subnet4, which are on AllOffices-VNet will have access to the Internet.

The answer is correct as they will only use Azure System routes. These routes will create a routeing table to the default gateway, which provides internet access by default. There are no NSGs or firewalls attached to block traffic A A A

The question mentions: "Default Azure system routes that will be the only routes used to route traffic", meaning communication between subnets in the same vNet is allowed. However, when it comes to peering, it only says Paris and All-Offices vNet. Am I overthinking here or it should mention bi-direcional peering : All-Offices and Paris vNet? The other two are YES, YES

Yeah i think you are overthinking this a bit.. it was the case that once upon a time you could only create the peering one way.. but these days it encourages you to make them bi-directionally, and it's actually a bit of a faff not to do that.

NSGs by default have an allow any any outbound but in order for VMs to be able to reach Internet you need to have Public IPs assigned to VMs OR have a firewall in front of the VMs

This explanation doesn't explain anything related to internet connectivity and then question related to internet connectivity asked. Not relevant information provided so ignore this question.

Well you're right there isn't a lotta explicit information provided but I think the question's asking if people know that by default subnets have internet connectivity or not. They do, in Azure so the answers are Yes, Yes and Yes.
