Business Document Management (BDM) is a feature that lets business users edit business document templates by using Microsoft 365 service or the appropriate Microsoft Office desktop application. To use BDM, you need to meet the following requirements: 1. You must have Microsoft Office 2010 or later installed, or have a Microsoft 365 Office for the web subscription 2. You must have a cloud deployment of Dynamics 365 Finance https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/analytics/er-business-document-management

BDM seems not to be an option in on-premises environments: "Currently, the Business document management feature is implemented only for cloud deployments. If this feature is critical to your on-premises deployment, let us know by providing feedback on the Ideas site". https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/analytics/er-business-document-management

should the answer be CD, based on the description below? To use Business document management for editing templates in Excel or Word formats by using Microsoft 365 applications, you must have Microsoft 365 Office for the web subscription. This is supported in cloud deployment. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/analytics/er-business-document-management
