Instance size flexibility isn't supported for HLI reserved capacity. A reservation applies only to the SKU and the region that you purchase it for. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cost-management-billing/reservations/prepay-hana-large-instances-reserved-capacity

And also : You can't SPLIT, merge, or update reservation scope.
