Posting definitions seems to be linked to Posting profiles, which are linked with the subledger functionality. Also, D involves modifying the reports.

BDE Microsoft Learn indicates that there is an alternative for posting profiles, and this for many transactions: posting definitions https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/finance/general-ledger/pstg-prfles-ovrvw. For me it is BDE

The correct answers are B, C, and E. You need to create posting profiles to post to the identified area as needed for the request, create posting definitions to post to the identified area as needed for the request, and identify an area of the chart of accounts to record to as the subledger. You do not need to update existing reports to prevent data in the identified area from reporting or to add data in the identified area from reporting.

To me, A and D means "customizing existing ledgers", so it's BCE.

C is definitely not included in the correct answers. The go to method of posting for subledgers is usually posting profiles. Posting definitions are only done where there are highly complex posting business requirements, for e.g. where encumbrance accounting is needed. - Chart of accounts to identify where posting needs to occur - Posting Profiles - Update reports to include additional reporting information is correct.

Forget about posting definitions, this is a functionality that applies to year end process but not used very often

BCE seems right to me. I'll be touching everything, that's connected to posting setup (posting profiles, posting definitions and everything else). I won't be updating any reports (unless of course they are developed properly, but we can safely assume that in this question)
