Why save the email for anonymous responses, isn't that a contradiction? You may argue that an email address is not an identification but we are not used to indicate social security numbers instead of email for identification (which means email is identification of a respondent) "Anonymous responses: Specify whether to record respondents' names, or keep them anonymous. By default, this setting is turned off and the respondent's name is recorded. When you turn on this setting, the respondent's first name, last name, and email aren't saved in response records by default. If you've added variables to your survey, their values also will not be stored in response records by default." https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-voice/distribution-settings

assuming "to capture the Email" and email variable is "email address", if it was "First name" then it may be D. It just struck me now that they did not detail enough if they mean the "email address"

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-voice/personalize-survey email is not a default personalisation value: "By default, the following variables are available: First Name: Inserts the first name of the recipient. Last Name: Inserts the last name of the recipient. locale: Specifies the locale of the survey while embedding it in the email. More information: Embed a survey in an email"
