The number of http requests should be the same. However, they will only use one TCP connection which will improve performance. Goal: Improving the loading performance of the landing page will be achieved so the correct answer should be YES https://blog.cloudflare.com/introducing-http2/

I'm not sure it would improve performance that much since it reads like the main issue with the website is a ton of jpeg request and nothing else. Given this, you really wouldn't cut down on the number of TCP connections.
