[All MB-330 Questions]

A company uses Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management.

The company classifies and tracks products based on how useful they are for achieving their business goals. Certain product classifications are important in relation to inventory controls and margins. Other classifications have a small profit margin and are less important for inventory variances.

The classification configuration must feed into existing classification reports and system logic.

You need to configure the products for the classifications.

Where should you configure the classifications?

  • A. Unreleased product variant
  • B. Released product variant
  • C. Product attributes
  • D. Unreleased product

C. Product Attributes Product attributes in Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management are used to define and store information about products, which can include classifications related to their importance to business goals, inventory controls, and margins. By using product attributes, you can categorize products in a way that integrates with existing reports and the system's logic for classification. This ensures that the product-related data is consistently used throughout the system, from inventory management to sales and reporting.

In my opinion the question is related to category hierarchies. Use category hierarchies to classify products for export, procurement, sales, or other purposes. This task is typically performed by a product manager. To do so go to Product information management > Products > Released products. Cosequently I would go for E) Released product

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/commerce/attribute-attributegroups-lifecycle I guess that makes sense. It felt like they were queueing the answer up for ABC classifications, however the question is very vaguely worded, and attributes have a broader set of uses.
