You have an Azure pipeline that is used to deploy a web app. The pipeline includes a test suite named TestSuite1. TestSuite1 is used to validate the operations of the web app.

TestSuite1 fails intermittently.

You identify that the failures are unrelated to changes in the source code and execution environment.

You need to minimize troubleshooting effort for the TestSuite1 failures.

Solution: You enable Test Impact Analysis (TIA).

Does this meet the goal?

Selected Answer: B
Flaky is correct. TIA Function: Test Impact Analysis focuses on optimizing test execution by selecting only the relevant tests to run based on code changes. It helps improve pipeline efficiency and reduce overall test runtime.

Selected Answer: A
TIA would only run relevant tests so TestSuite1 would not be an issue any more https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/devops/pipelines/test/test-impact-analysis?view=azure-devops

From your link, there is nothing that prevents TIA from running the test that is failing occasionally. It could determine that the code changes need that test, but the test would fail. The link even says it will include previously failing tests, so it doesnt stop trying even if the test had failed before. This has to be No, TIA will not help.
