For Entra-protected APIs, the connector must be registered in the same tenant and environment where it will run. If you only import the connector definition: The connector in production still points to the Azure AD app registered in development. Users in production may fail authentication, because the Azure Function and its app are still in dev, or permissions aren’t granted in prod.
