Choice A does not help update the file path but applies to datasets already published to the Power BI service. Choice C also does not allow you to change the file path of a data source. It only controls how data is loaded (e.g., cache settings).

If the source step in Power Query shows the file path, you can change it directly in the formula bar to reflect the new file location. E. From Advanced Editor in Power Query Editor, configure the file path in the M code. The Advanced Editor lets you edit the M code directly, which includes updating the file path to the new location of the Excel data source.

Actually I did a quick research and apparently YOU CAN EDIT THE CREDENTIALS FROM SERVICE but YOU CANNOT EDIT THE INPUT PATH FROM SERVICE... Meaning you can only do it from Desktop. So BDE are correct.

c is correct as well IMO. Data Source settings has the "change source option".

options C is not about changing it through 'transform data' and then 'data source settings'. (where the path can be changed indeed). In the answer is mentioned the 'data load' which is under 'current file' when you go to 'option and settings' from file menu. And there you don't have the possibility to change the path
