No-2 : Yes: Search Labs | AI Overview Yes, Azure Advisor recommendations can be filtered by administrative unit. This feature allows you to focus on specific parts of your organization, such as departments or teams, when viewing and addressing recommendations. Here's how it works: Administrative Units: Azure Advisor leverages the concept of administrative units, which are organizational units within your Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) tenant. Filtering: By filtering recommendations based on administrative units, you can isolate issues and optimizations relevant to a specific group of users, resources, or workloads. Granular Control: This filtering capability provides granular control, enabling you to target specific teams or projects for focused optimization. Example: In a large enterprise, you could filter recommendations to show only those relevant to the IT department, marketing department, or research division.

Azure Advisor supports alerts. Answer: No Azure Advisor does not support alerts. It provides recommendations to optimize your Azure resources, but it does not send alerts. Alerts are typically managed through Azure Monitor or other monitoring tools.

Copilot: Unfortunately, Azure Advisor recommendations cannot be filtered by Administrative Unit directly without using resource tags . You'll need to use tags to organize and filter your resources to view recommendations scoped to specific administrative units. Hence answer is YNY.

I am logged into Azure portal and went to Advisor. I don't see anyway to filer by Administrative unit. Can only filter by Subscriptions, Recommedation status, RG and Type. I can add workload, resource tag, impact, recommendation type in additional filter. Administrative unit is no where seen. Correct me if I am wrong

No.1 is Yes. Whenever Azure Advisor detects a new recommendation for one of your resources, an event is stored in Azure Activity log. You can set up alerts for these events from Azure Advisor using a recommendation-specific alerts creation experience. You can select a subscription and optionally a resource group to specify the resources that you want to receive alerts on. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/advisor/advisor-alerts-portal

I think 1 is No. Azure Advisor provides recommendations for optimizing your Azure resources in terms of performance, security, reliability, and cost. While it offers actionable advice and best practices, it does not support sending alerts directly. However, you can integrate Azure Advisor recommendations with Azure Monitor alerts to receive notifications based on specific recommendations or metrics provided by Azure Advisor.
