SQL Server features the integration of the common language runtime (CLR) component of the .NET Framework for Microsoft Windows. This means that you can now write stored procedures, triggers, user-defined types, user-defined functions, user-defined aggregates, and streaming table-valued functions, using any .NET Framework language, including Microsoft Visual Basic .NET and Microsoft Visual C#.

A table-valued parameter is a parameter with a table type. Using this parameter, you can send multiple rows of data to a stored procedure or a parameterized SQL command in the form of a table. Transact-SQL can be used to access the column values of the table-valued parameters.
