A company's IT department has a CSV file stored on one of their Shared Documents folders within their Microsoft SharePoint sites. The data from the CSV file is ingested into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Insights.

The file contains a row header and columns of different types, such as quantities and prices. The file also contains some rows with a high proportion of nulls.

You need to clean and transform the data in Dynamics 365 Customer Insights to be ready for unification.

Solution: Transform the first row to be used as headers, define column types to be the appropriate field types and name the query. Select Next and your data is now ready for unification.

Does this meet the goal?

  • A. Yes
  • B. No

This is an example of why I dislike the way some Microsoft exam questions are written. If we are very strict with the order of steps: 1. You decide on a Name for the data first. Description is optional. 2. Then click Next. 3. Then choose a connector to link to the data (in this case, a SharePoint connector) and configure the necessary connection settings. 4. Click Next again. 5. NOW you can transform the data, which includes setting the first row as headers. 6. You can also add more data sources. 7. Now you can Save and it is available for the Unify step. At least according to this: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-insights/data/connect-power-query#create-a-new-data-source BUT, if we are not worried about the order you do things, and completeness of process - all of the steps in the given solution are fine.
