Normally I would use 1. Link Table and Link Field to Create Parent-Child Relation but OnAfterGetRecord in the Parent Data Item can do the trick too 2. OnPostXMLPort

But on the MS Page for Link Table and Link Field they suggest OnPreXMLItem https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/dev-itpro/developer/properties/devenv-linkfields-property
