I think it is B because this link - has this point - Select Get Data > Online Services, Azure DevOps (Boards only) for cloud services or select Azure DevOps Server (Boards only) for on-premises. Then select Connect. Analytics views only support queries against work items and test cases. I am assuming this is about DevOps on the cloud

D. OData Feed Azure DevOps Analytics views expose data through OData feeds. Using the OData Feed connector allows Power BI to pull data from Azure DevOps Analytics while leveraging its built-in filtering capabilities. Why not the other options? A. OData Queries: While this is a generic term, Power BI uses the "OData Feed" connector to interact with OData sources. B. Azure DevOps (Boards only): This connector is designed specifically for Azure Boards data but doesn't support Analytics views or advanced filtering. C. Azure DevOps Server (Boards only): This connector is for on-premises Azure DevOps Server and not the cloud version.

To meet both requirements — using Analytics views and filtering cloud-based data — you should use the Azure DevOps (Boards only) connector in Power BI Desktop. ✅ Why This Connector? It connects directly to Azure DevOps Analytics views, which are optimized for reporting on work items like bugs, tasks, and user stories. It supports cloud-based filtering, meaning the data is filtered at the source before being loaded into Power BI. It’s designed specifically for Azure Boards data, which is perfect for bug tracking dashboards. You’ll find it in Power BI Desktop under: > Get Data → Online Services → Azure DevOps (Boards only)

Selected Answer: D
Azure DevOps Analytics views provide structured OData feeds that allow you to query and filter data from the cloud. OData Feed is the recommended connector in Power BI for pulling data from Azure DevOps Analytics views. This approach ensures you can apply filters dynamically and retrieve bug tracking data efficiently. Why Not the Other Options? A. OData queries – This option refers to writing direct OData queries manually, but the standard OData Feed connector is better suited for integration. B. Azure DevOps (Boards only) – This connector is limited to Boards data and does not support Analytics views. C. Azure DevOps Server (Boards only) – This applies only to on-premises Azure DevOps Server, not cloud-based Azure DevOps. Using OData Feed, you can authenticate, fetch analytics data, and filter efficiently for your bug tracking dashboard.

So I checked the Microsoft documentation again. They specifically recommend OData queries to load the Analytics data into Power BI out of the three available methods (OData Query, OData Feed, Azure DevOps). You can find the information here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/devops/report/powerbi/overview?view=azure-devops

It's not OData Feed because it is not a good option to filter the data, which is one of the requirements in the question. I found this on the Learn Microsoft site: The method demonstrated in this article works for small organizations, because it always pulls in all the data into Power BI. Most of the filtering that's specified in the Power Query Editor is done client-side. For information about other approaches, see Power BI integration Overview.

It is B. This is the learn.microsoft documentation about it: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/devops/report/powerbi/create-quick-report? view=azure-devops Connect to an Analytics view 4.Select Get Data > Online Services, then select Azure DevOps (Boards only) for cloud services or select Azure DevOps Server (Boards only) for on-premises. Select Connect. Analytics views only support queries against work items and test cases.

OData queries allow Power BI to connect to Analytics views in Azure DevOps and filter data from the cloud. OData Feed is another term used for the OData connector that can pull data from cloud services, including Azure DevOps Analytics. but requires manual setup compared to OData queries here Options B and C are for Boards only, which does not meet the requirement for using Analytics views. Option D is more general and less specific to Azure DevOps Analytics.

the example used in this learn article is exactly the same as the question. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/devops/report/powerbi/create-quick-report?view=azure-devops check below a section from the article on learn : With Power BI Desktop, you can easily connect to an Analytics view to start creating reports for your project in Azure DevOps. An Analytics view provides a simplified way to specify the filter criteria for a Power BI report based on Analytics data. Important Analytics views only support Azure Boards data (work items).
