Server1: Deploy the On-Premises Extended-Network Gateway appliance VM2: Configure an Azure Network Adapter This setup uses Azure Network Adapter (ANA) on VM2 to securely connect to on-premises, but not the other way around. You only expose Subnet4, because VM2 is the only resource being connected back to on-prem. You are not creating full VNet-to-VNet peering or VPN tunnels, just targeted hybrid access from Azure VM2 to Server1, via on-premises gateway appliance. This design limits exposure, requires minimal configuration, and is Microsoft-supported.
